Despite its meme origins, it has grown into a popular crypto used for payments, crowdfunding, and tipping, with support from figures like Elon Musk. DOGE has achieved significant market cap growth and remains community-driven without a central authority. Recently, Dogecoin's price has increased following Musk's tweet, "D.O.G.E. will fix it." Currently priced at $0.1263, DOGE has a market cap of $18.5 billion. Although it is down 83% from its 2021 peak, it remains the largest meme coin, boasting a loyal following bolstered by Musk's social media endorsements.
